The Clinic Dr. Otto Buchinger in Bad Pyrmont is one of the centres with the longest tradition for naturopathic treatments and holistic medicine. The combination of complementary medicine therapies with allopathic clinical diagnostics and almost 90 years of experience enables us to see the human being and the complex interactions of "body, soul and mind" as a whole.

We regard our patients more like guests who in our friendly atmosphere and sophisticated ambiance finally find the time to discover themselves – something not to be taken for granted in an increasingly fast moving time.

Founded originally in Witzenhausen/Werra in 1920 by Dr. Otto Buchinger I (1878 - 1966), the clinic relocated to Bad Pyrmont in 1935. Finally in 1959 the clinic was newly built at the slopes of the beautiful Bomberg (a delightful wooded mountain) with sweeping views of the town and the Pyrmont Valley, and in 1993 a visually attractive extension (the so-called "Flower House"), equipped with underground connections to the main house, was dedicated. This allows our guests and staff to reach all therapy rooms in the warmth and dry from the Flower House.

As the parent house run by the third medical generation of Buchingers, we have always been deeply committed to the concept of our founder, Dr. Otto Buchinger I, and his son Dr. Otto Buchinger II (1913 - 2003), that is not to reduce the human being to the merely physical, but to incorporate holistic approaches into the treatment.
